Ză Lokal opened only recently but it shows that it was designed with passion and love for food. The place is small, they only have a few tables, but this also means coziness and friendly atmosphere. With the open kitchen, one could feel at home here.
The place is conveniently set on Calea Victoriei, close to Piata Victoriei and it is the right place to stop while having a bike ride in Bucharest. At least, this is what I did.
The menu bears the signature of Liviu Chiorpec, an amazing cook, whom I had the privilege to meet several years ago, when he took care of a party I hosted (needless to say that the party was a success and the food he prepared live just divine).
Anyway, coming back to Ză Lokal, the menu has limited items but this is a good sign as in this was they can focus on delivering quality food, cooked the right way and, at least for what we tried, they succeeded.
I really appreciated that the pasta was boiled to perfection. As unusual as it may seem, not always in Bucharest restaurants can offer pasta “al dente” the right way.
All in all, I liked this place and definitely I will be coming back. 🙂
Address: Calea Victoriei 214 (Piata Victoriei metro station is close by)
