Bucharest has plenty to offer as options for spending free time and cultural events are always taking place.
One of the most convenient options would be a theatre play and for that Bucharest National Theatre might be right choice.
Bucharest National Theatre is set right in the center of Bucharest and you can easily reach it by metro.
There are numerous other theatres in Bucharest and even bars where you can enjoy modern plays (such as Godot Cafe). However, among these, Bucharest National Theatre, in its newly renovated image, is extremely appealing.
Ticket are priced reasonably and there are various plays to choose from. I got the chance to see the play “All my sons”, based on a script of Andrew Miller in a very nice interpretation.
I was quite impressed by the newly renovated theatre – they really did a great job, especially the Grand Hall looks amazing.
Further, good to know that they have free parking and everything is well organized (including the presentable hostesses that lead you to your seat). The cafeteria does not offer much, just water and some chocolate – but this can improve over time.
